History

Block and Cleaver is the passion of founder and managing director Glenn Preston whilst first entering the industry at 15 and quickly finding a flare for the art of bespoke butchery then working his way through all aspects of the butchery trade and building customer relationships.

This has led to the continued success of Block and Cleaver and with the support of the team around him has become the success it is today supplying London and the south coast of England premier Hotels, restaurant and event caterers with an unrivalled package from a Meat supplier.

Barcode Traceability

All of our produce is fully traceable using our bespoke self-developed computer automated barcode traceability package “the meat tracker”.

All products are assigned a completely unique code that tracks when the produce enters the building then through production to when it is despatched from our cutting plant “UK 2166 EC” accompanied by a barcode line that holds all the products history from where it was slaughtered right up to when it enters our plant.

Accreditation

Block and Cleaver are fully EEC approved (UK 2166 EC) which cover us for the import and export of all meat products in and out of the UK and we are also SALSA accredited (Safe and Local supplier approval).
